National Protest and 'disband the cops' discussion (and now ICE)

Tell the kid you beat those into his mom's headboard last Saturday night and he should look there.

I do not have the same almost child-like trust in LEO's like I did 30-ish+ years ago. Now? I don't consider them enemies, but I don't consider them friends. I respect them but don't trust them. I don't think they are out to get me, but they aren't on my side.

End of the day I believe the overwhelming majority are just decent people doing a job they believe in who want to go home and see their family. I also believe far too many (but still a minority) are dickheads on a power trip who have no business wearing a badge. Society has gone sideways in the last 20-30 years and LEO standards aren't what they used to be, so now we have this vortex of stupid colliding with social media and doing it for likes and clicks.

TLDR: Where's the Space Rock?
I tell my family something similar. "Cops are not your friends. They don't know you. They are people trying to do a job. And they are not all good people. Be polite, don't let them in your car or our house, don't consent to any searches, don't admit to anything, and ask if you can call me."

Maybe I’m jaded from Audit the Audit, but I don’t think many (probably not a majority) cops have citizens constitutional rights anywhere in their mind when interacting with their fellow citizens. We only see a small slice, and the slice we see paints the profession in a bad light.

I have basically zero interaction with police, and I prefer to keep it that way.

Laws of averages is a fallacy. I cordially invite you to this town and county and find that "majority" and we'll call it a subject sample test audit.

I love those videos. I would not say that you're jaded, maybe you are, but definitely biased because those are the stories that make YouTube and social media. You don't see a whole lot of " I was stopped by a cop for a broken tail light. It was such a great experience!" Stories.

Sigh...as much as I hate the Left, I really also dislike the Far right as well. But the enemy of my enemy is the becoming reality with me. Do the needful with the Left, have at it but zero collateral damages. My humanity left when they cheered and then mocked Charlie Kirk's murder. Actual human beings with compassion don't do these things.

Is the far right in the room with us right now? Kidding, there is actual threat of Haglian Dialectic rearing it's ugly head here.

It's TOTALLY an ideology - an ideology with team jerseys, a third base coach, a player roster, sponsors, and a starting lineup...
The team owner, George Soros (my "unfounded" speculation), should be shitting bricks about now.

If funding from George Soros and the Open Society Foundations is mitigated/eliminated, how much of the general nonsense we see today goes away?

Love the analogy. +1

It's so weird... but with all the political strife in the world, I would assume that protests would be continuing apace. With all the threats to democracy and all- but nothing to speak of. It's almost like something happened to the protestors ability to travel to these places, organize and mobilize.

I have no idea what that could be, but I know that in the military, usually the issue with going TDY was funding.

'Open Society Foundations' may not directly "fund" nefarious shit - but the threat of their funds being track certainly does seem to line up nicely with the Antifa TDY budget getting tightened up...

fuck those rabble rousers

It's almost like Trump has advisors that are members of this board, or similar.

We've been talking about going after the paid protesters; following the money that destroys businesses, delivers pallets of bricks, attacks LE, for 5 years now.
His children know how to internet very well. Pretty sure Trump Junior is on a few gun boards, the same one that James Hetfield uses as well.
