National Protest and 'disband the cops' discussion (please review page 1)

Bruh- Tyson James is a bit too G-Squad for me, but BRO his music (like the sonic construction) is fire. Check out Flippin Tables.

Funny thing I just went through in my head: "Tyson James is great but he's super heavy on Chritianity, and that's a personal thing I don't talk about a lot so it's not like I connect fully... but wait a second I also listen to Two Chains and I don't sell drugs or sip purple... and I also listen to Amon Amarth but I am not a Viking warrior that lived in Norse mythology... AND I ALSO LOVE GHOST BUT I AM NOT A TONGUE IN CHEEK SATANIST WAIT CAN I JUST LISTEN TO GOOD MUSIC WITHOUT WORRYING TOO MUCH ABOUT THE WORDS AND MESSAGE OR DO I HAVE TO ASCRIBE TO ALL THE THEMES COMPLETELY WHAT AM I DOING."

Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I hope he does it if only to troll the planet.
v on brand.

I feel two ways about this- Derek Chauvin 100% did not get a fair or just trial. That's just objectively true. He was tried on him being a racist cop, not for the facts of the matter. He was convicted in the court of public opinion long before the jury passed judgement. The only evidence you need of this is the 42-month sentence of Tou Thao- he never touched Floyd and was doing crowd control, convicted of failing to intervene, "aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter." Two other cops caught charges for helping to restrain Floyd. It's a farce of a conviction for all three but most egregiously Thao.

That being said, Trump can only pardon Chauvin on the 21-year federal civil rights case, not his state case in Minnesota. The only person who could pardon Chauvin is Tim Walz, and that ain't happening.

From a trolling perspective, the optics of Minnesota burning to the ground AGAIN over this case would be terrible for the left, it further torpedoes lame duck Walz. It highlights the left's use of violence every time they don't get their way.

From a reality perspective- why? It doesn't save him jail time (he's serving a 22-year and a 21-year sentence concurrently). It doesn't "right a wrong". It doesn't have an output that gets us (conservatives) closer to any goal, and I am including "the culture war".

On a note about protests... for those who aren't tracking, Columbia university students took over a library at Columbia. The NYPD pulled a pro-gamer move, and once they occupied the library, the police locked everyone in and wouldn't let them out without identifying themselves (based).

Now, those students (50 of 80 protesters arrested were students, the other 30 weren't, which is a weird stat) are being charged and are bemoaning the stripping of their 1st amendment rights, which of course isn't true.

And now, if it isn't the very real consequences of their actions. These petulant children are getting the spanking they deserve, and they're shocked to learn that calling for a global intifada while wearing keffiya's isn't the vibe they think it is. Good.

Mood flips at Columbia U after quashing of latest protest, Trump pressure takes hold

ETA- from the article, the most interesting stat is that the VAST majority of protestors arrested were females. Not a plurality, an overwhelming majority. The lesson, as always- privileged, liberal women are the greatest threat to our republic. Just a personal opinion.

That Columbia deal is rich.

The NYPD made 80 arrests – 19 males and 61 females, according to a source.

What? Roughly 3 to 1? There are so many jokes here, but I'll walk away from the explosion.

"Columbia is going against every value that they preach. I mean they teach us these beautiful values and the reason why I came here -- freedom and equality and justice – but they're bending over backwards to basically appease a dictator. While Harvard is fighting back. They're not even trying to fight back."

He said that the demonstrators' message itself is antisemitic and that there is always a small fraction of people who will take it too far, adding that those protesting are not against the Jewish people.

I thought the first was bad, but this is a masterpiece. Trump's a dictator, but I guess Hamas is okay? The message is antisemitic, but not against Jews? Clowns. "I don't like drinking water, I drink Aquafina instead."

One of our nation's top universities, and close to 40% is foreign? That... kind of seems like a problem to me.

Ref. the female to male ration: emotion-based arguments appeal to everyone, but they seem especially effective with young, white liberal women. They are also less likely to manhandled, and to get huge headlines if they are. Those percentages are not surprising to me. Plus, a lot of young men are waking up to the whole "don't support people who hate you" phenomenon, which for a very long time has been what the left has largely done--hate young men.

I edited my post above, I meant to make that point in my OP. I have no problem saying what I said, because you know- facts and stuff.
