Hello everyone! I have a small military background in Sweden due to my age (18) so im joining the Swedish Armed Forces next year and hopefully will be enlisted with a Ranger unit after basic. I am pleased to have joined the site and by going through som threads it looks like a really good community! Well thats about it I look forward to participating in these forums as much and best as I can :)

I have been in some voluntary courses for people under 18 that have been on the summers. We learned the basics the first summer like survival training etc (Courses are 2 weeks) then if you were strong mentally and overall good (they watched you closely) you got to be in a pretty tough 1 week course far up north of Sweden near the Norwegian boarder during the winter. We got to ski uphill with 15-20kg backpacks in -20 to -25 celcius and swim in ice holes etc. Second summer we got to learn more advanced weapons with 7.62 and stuff and more survival training but more at the Ranger way, alone in the forest without food for 2 days (not hard really). Well thats sums up a little bit what i have for experience. :)545020_3814588854087_1730566374_n.jpg

I never got to that course but I did spend a few months up there with the Royal Marines. It's cold as an iditarod husky's nutsack up there in the winter.
