Does anyone have any information regarding, when, and if soldiers joining the 160th SOAR, attend Airborne school prior to reporting to their Bn?

It's not a tremendously big deal at this time. However, Airborne School was one of the enticing opportunities, that influenced my decision to want to become Night Stalker.

I've received different emails regarding my assignment, and to be honest, I'm pretty confused, and my NCO, hasn't really been able to clarify things. I'm pretty on point when it comes to handling my own basic administrative affairs, but this has got me really stumped.

I've only found some vague information regarding this question on this site. And, at this time, I haven't heard back from the Ft. Lewis. point of contact I was given, in almost a month.

This isn't a pressing issue. I'm still overseas, and my report date is still about 7 months out. I'm sure once I get back to the states, I could get this figured out myself. But, If any of the Vetted members, have the time, and think they could help me make sense of what I'm looking at, I'd be willing to send them what I have so far, if they can help me get some clarification.

Thanks.

Worry about getting through Green Platoon first. There are plenty of opportunities once you earn your way in and prove yourself. I was already Airborne qualified when I got to the unit, but they sent me to Pathfinder School. There are lots of things you can do in the unit, but you need to be worrying about what you can do for the unit, not what you can get from it, at this point.
