Morning ShadowSpear community! I was a member of the 112th Special Operations Signal Battalion (SO)(A) back in the '90s. The 112th was under 1st Special Forces Command then we transitioned to USASOC, now they are back to 1SFC gain. I loved the Special Operations world, but recurring knee injuries ultimately led me to being medically evacuated from Haiti in late '94 and finally separated from the military in January of '96 (MRB process took forever). I was offered the option of reclassifying into another MOS and permanantly losing jump status, but at that point I figured I was better off in the civilian world than being a leg in the military.
