Hello good folks,

As the subject heading of my post indicates, I am preparing to join the good 'ol United States Army at the tender young age of 34. At this point in my life, I am looking at a possible permanent career change or if it doesn't turn out to be a career, at least something that can lead to great career. My main goal is to to get into special operations and I am looking particularly at SF although I would be just as honored to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment as well. I've been to this website in the past and have lurked around a bit, but never with the intention of obtaining serious information until now. I am glad such websites exist with verified SOF guys who have been there and done that and as such can serve as a valuable resource for noobs such as myself.

I look forward to learning as much as I can from the website from people who have already done what I am trying to do so I can make an informed decision before I join.

lol. Maybe so, but I certainly don't feel old. Feel fine physically with no medical issues. Thanks for the reply.
SOF pipelines are definitely young man's games.

Sleep deprivation is something that I've noticed almost always has a greater effect on the older folks.

You might feel fine now, but you haven't gotten started yet. Make sure you're in the absolute best shape that you could possibly be in when you start.
