Also more reason not to mess with the Aussies who have to deal with that crazy shit on a daily basis. The Sydney Funnel Web (another evil Australian bastard spider) has fangs that can bite through leather shoes.

I don't want to take too much gloss off how dangerous it is to survive down here. But I'm pretty sure that brown snake was still legally considered a worm...
Red backs aren't that big. That snake would have been struggling to be thicker than a pencil and probably around a foot in length.

When I see a redback take down a 7 foot adult brown snake, I'll start getting a bit worried.
