Figured I start a thread, sitting on my porch as it just started raining again.

Death toll grows, Marble Falls VFD Chief got swept off the road enroute to a call.
The jeep ( what's left of it) was found.

I think it goes from Rescue to Recovery in the next day or so.

Losing the kids hits the hardest.

My hog-hunting buddy, Captain Fitch, lives in Kerr County. His house is on a ridge but they've been pretty much trapped by the Guadalupe River flooding. Many of the dead were in Kerr County. Very bad.

I'm not trying to be a dick, it will just work out like that, but are these areas prone to flooding and/or flash floods? How atypical is this event? Living in a flood zone is living on borrowed time. Sad but true.
