The Jeffrey Epstein Scandal

To clarify, he was fired from CEC or TG? From your stories, I'd be surprised that TG wanted him gone, as it might actually hurt their brand by firing him.

Fired from CEC and then hired by TG as their CEO. TG's last CEO, Artie Starrs, oversaw the sale of TG to a private equity firm and then dipped out to run Harley Davidson into the ground.

I don’t know anything about Top Golf, but to be fair, Harley Davidson was being run into the ground well before Starrs arrived. Zeitz pointed their nose down hard. Starrs may just be there to finish things off.

He oversaw some really interesting decisions. Two that come to mind 1) TG ditched Coke in favor of Pepsi. 2) When presented with a mountain of evidence as to why repeat business was so bad, he refused to make any changes, specifically in their pricing. If you look at TG's stock and the whole Calloway debacle, that was all Artie and his leadership.

There's nothing good about that company, be it the business side or the people side. If you want a job where you are assaulted and harassed on a regular basis (sexual or otherwise), if racism's your thing, if you want to work around people who think 16 YO's are fair game...TopGolf's your place.

So hiring someone who appears in the Epstein release, no matter how (allegedly) benign, is pretty on brand for the company.

He picked Pepsi over Coke???

Fuck that guy. I live on Coke Zero.

A TG vignette...there was a murder at a venue a few years ago. Two of the kitchen staff got into it and a little pew pew 187 happened.

Most nights a venue has one closing manager, some nights or in some venues you'll have two closing managers. This night there were two, the second is who we got the story from.

I don't know when they discovered the deceased, if it was during the shooting or they found the body when leaving the building. Regardless, it was immediately reported to the closing managers. One of whom...oh, boy.

Homie called the venue manager who told him to sit tight. The venue manager then dialed up someone at corporate and explained the situation. That person in turn called the closing manager and told them what to say when the police arrived.

And then gave them permission to call 911. The venue manager was enroute before the police and fire/ rescue.

The customers are ridiculous, just plain assholes. The prices are astronomical. The managers apathetic or have their hands tied. Some are outright, open shitbags. One sexually harassed a 17 YO and corporate did nothing (promoted him a year or so later) despite video evidence from TG's own security cameras. I could go on, it's just a rotten org.

Maybe these cocksuckers are just hedging their bets and doing some quick war profiteering so they can afford the lawyers they are going to need when a political opponents decides to charge them with a list of PDF file crimes.

If I was a degenerate immoral billionaire with rich friends and associates with political power - thats what I'd be doing right now.

Over the past few days, it's unsurprisingly become evident to me that, while I'm quite disappointed with Bondi and the Trump administration's approach to release of the Epstein files, Congress and the media play an equal, and potentially greater, role in fumbling this issue. They're all culpable and it makes me wonder how we could ever move the needle in the right direction with so much obfuscation at so many levels.

Some of the loudest in Congress screaming about the Epstein files, by a vote of 357-65, agreed to block the release of congressional sexual misconduct and harassment reports.

And then there's this:
Did you hear anything about this in the news the past couple days? Probably not.

Which begs the question, are our officials in Washington and elsewhere really interested in solving this problem...or are they just giving lip service? 🤔

It's seems that perhaps this is the real Epstein island:

And yet, somehow even though a congressional body with HUNDREDS of years worth of continuous cumulative service have been literally FUCKING the American public for decades - we are going to collectively demonize a guy that just got into national politics about ten years ago and has been visibly, overtly, and constantly fighting against an establishment that has wanted him gone since the instant he upset his first apple cart.

The American People:
"It's Trumps fault."
"He broke a promise."
"What is he hiding?"
"Why can't he at least ACT presidential?"
"Is this what we all voted for?"
"We need accountability."

ALSO the American People (when talking about the entire US Congress)
"My representative says it's Trumps fault."
"The senator I've been voting for since I turned 18 says Trump broke a promise."
"The corrupt representatives that I keep voting for are saying that is Trump hiding something?"
"The Democrats in the House make a good point, why can't Trump at least ACT presidential?"
"I know that my US, State, and Local Representatives are all corrupt, but they are all STILL saying that Trump is hiding something!"
"We need accountability."
"Why do all of my elected representatives keep voting AGAINST congressional reform measures?"

...just an observation, its possible I'm not seeing the whole picture.

The only thing rational Bondi said at her congressional hearing was when she asked why the Dems didn't push for release of the Epstein files when Biden was president?
