The Trump Presidency 2.0

Was there a lot of violence today? I’ve been busy with a birthday party. Did I miss the sectarian violence breakout I’ve been promised?
Imagine being so indoctrinated to expect left wing violence that when it *doesn't* happen, you run to social media to dunk on the other side. "Take that, conservatives! We finally had a funded rally that didn't end in death or millions in damage!" CNBM.

The sectarian violence you mentioned is already happening, you're just ideologically captured, purposefully obtuse, and juuuuust smart enough to make all that look like sarcasm, as opposed to what it is.

I, for one, had no idea the press was given so much freedom inside the Pentagon….
Yeah, it's shocking, actually. The only takeaway from the Pentagon story is that Journalists (just like the rest of the dems) are all entitled theater kids.

I am beginning to think some of these folks are on to something- Jimmy Kimmel 2 day break? Assault on first amendment. Re-baselining expectations for press corps, protecting classified material? Attack on first amendment.

It's like, EVERYTHING that this admin does is an attack on all of our rights, all the time. Or, maybe the media isn't being honest in their reporting.

Man you are the one that said there would be chaos. I didn’t expect it.

Did anyone read the indictment of Bolton? He was sending classified information daily to his wife and daughter...but apparently this is just retaliation.

FIFY. Next time, put your prediction on the table in the time and context the conversation happened, not days after the fact. Room temp IQ, ideologically captured retards do that.

This fits into the "almost, just not far enough" category for me.

Trump's lawyers were charged with RICO, simply removing Comey's lawyer for conflict of interest isn't enough of a statment. It looks like the democrats weren't really thinking "Oh no we better not do this because what if we set a precedent the other side can use?"

Here's a perfect example. Doxx them, publicly shame them, charge them. Thems the rules now.

DOJ seeks removal of Comey's defense lawyer, citing conflict of interest

What I find ridiculous is that Cuomo isn't going to win in NY, Sliwa dropping out only gives Mamdani votes. Cuomo dropping out would give Sliwa more votes but still not enough. Sliwa is the only Republican in the race yet you have all these rando MAGA accounts encouraging/asking Sliwa to drop out and endorse Cuomo. It's funny because Cuomo's policies killed thousands.

It is hard to believe that this administration has not yet been in power for even a full year.

Fox had an interesting bit about the shutdown I didn't know. It isn't just healthcare for illegal immigrants. The standoff also deals with ACA subsidies which began with the passage of the ACA and was greatly expanded under Biden as part of his COVID response. Those subsidies are set to expire at the end of this year and that deadline was set by?

Democrats.

The shutdown is horrible for America but inevitable and Democrats are still blaming Trump? Clown shoes. No wonder places like CNN are cold to lukewarm with their criticism of Republicans. They know.

It's been primarily the ACA subsidies the whole time.

The bit about immigrants is that lawful immigrants could recieve Medicaid/medicare but the BBB removes some of those immigrants.

Starting in July 2025, Medicare eligibility is restricted to U.S. citizens, permanent residents (i.e., green card holders), Cuban-Haitian entrants, and people residing under the Compacts of Free Association. This means that lawfully present immigrants who don’t meet these criteria, such as refugees, asylees, and people with Temporary Protected Status, will no longer be eligible for Medicare.

ETA: In my opinion, it's a bad time for the Dems to be fighting over the ACA subsidies. From a strategic perspective, they should have reopen the government after a week or so and kept on message about how the GOP refused to keep them.

Come ~June/July when prices jump up, then they can force the issue. People would be more likely to support it once their health insurance actually increases.
