The Trump Presidency 2.0

The debacle that is California chaps my ass. I was stationed there for a long time and loved it. Met a lot of good people. There is lot to do, and in my opinion its the most beautiful state. The history there is very much part of our story as a nation. But, the majority politics and its politicians are straight trash.

We are only two generations away from when California was a republican state. Two generations got them there. Happening faster in the now-purple states.

I only voted for him twice, but yeah, I get it. ;)

EVERYTHING that orbits US politics and the impact is has makes me "feel" like Dad...
...while being simultaneously committed to enjoying the ride like the kid is

ENJOY THE RIDE MOTHERFUCKERS
...because once the democrats get that last domino to fall in their favor, the music stops
...and the ride will be OVER
...and we WILL regret it

California still has a way to go...

It took Canuckistan a decade to go from one of the most stable and strongest Conservative government. Rebuilding our military, securing the Arctic and putting China/Russia on notice.

Now we have a Liberal majority government, through bribing opposition members to switch sides and planning some seriously authoritarian policies. Plus a "strategic partnership" with the actual fucking Communists in China, who are allied with Russia. We voted in the UN with despots to put Iran in charge of humanitarian bullshit.

CA is so vile I tend to ignore it, so outside of the name Katie Porter I knew nothing of her.

Democrat in CA? Her politics are probably 180 off from mine. Speaking of degrees, you could put her and Kash Patel back-to-back and have 475 degrees of security without them turning their heads.

CA voters must be among the dumbest in the US. At this point I'd rather we close our borders with California than Mexico.

The thing is, California is a direct democracy. Everyone can vote on propositions, and they are huge laws that affect large portions of the population. Tyranny of the majority is at play in California for sure.

Most states are like this (voting via proposition), however, this has occurred because Sacramento has failed for generations. Due to the referendum government style I literally have no idea why my former home state even has a legislature.

But have you met Virginia voters?

Here's hoping they vote no on the 21st but...

Was stationed at Travis for anesthesia training and enjoyed the area and loved going to San Francisco on weekends, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Sad that it’s now a shit filled zoo full of lunatics, will never go back.

Did time at both FT Ord and FT Irwin. I enjoyed both. I was young and it was the 80's in California. Had a lot of fun and met my ex- wife there. I still have a lot of family there, so we have a good time visiting. Yeah, I have no desire to live there.

Sadly - tragically - unironically - catastrophically - unfortunately - the phrase, "...a good time visiting; no desire to live there" is becoming INCREASINGLY more applicable to INCREASINGLY more locations ACROSS the USA.

Virginia ?
WTF Virginia ???
Are you fucking serious Virginia ?????
Looking at YOU Virginia !!!

Just more proof that the USA is only one bad election from becoming the Democratic Peoples Republic of United North American Socialist States.

I'm glad they got them Hormel Straights opened again - I was starting to worry that I'd be going into the weekend without my favorite brand of canned Chili...
