The Trump Presidency 2.0

Dow aside the left said the tariffs were going to cause irreversible recession blah blah blah yet all the markers are improving. The market is going to go up, it's going to go down, but right now the left is mad it's going up.

ETA- THE Ohio State had the most historic CFP run to the Natty in history... So if you're comparing that to what's going in America right now, I tend to agree. Not the dunk you think it was but your OSU hate is noted and you get +1 for it.

Lol I'm from the Findlay-Tiffin area; I'm a OSU fan. Just a little metaphor I figured would make sense.

Things are moving positively and I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm also not about to celebrate getting back to where we were 30 days ago.

Get to me in a year when there's actually been time for changes to take place.

Gotta take wins when we get them. Being contrarian is the easiest position to hold across all things, it requires nothing more than saying “Nah man I don’t think so”. White pill > black pill.

If we had a period like we’ve seen in the last 30 days in 2023, Trump wouldn’t be the president. But as always- nothing will be good enough because nothing ever happens.

Less Tranny Stuff, Less Pro Hamas stuff, secure border, deporting terrorists and illegal criminals, there is so much awesome going on right now I don't know why we have to be so dystopian.

Because they(the administration) are also talking about deporting US citizens. That is dystopian. They are discussing using the active duty US military in local level law enforcement, which is dystopian. Sure the market is 300 points lower than it was, which is a win, and eggs might be cheaper because the culled chickens are dead and bird flu season is over, great wins.

Trump's Expanded Domestic Military Use Should Worry Us All | ACLU

It is dystopian fear now. But imagine the fear if it wasn’t President Trump saying, doing, and putting into memos these things.

He isn’t coming for me. I’m an upper middle class white guy, pay more taxes than should be legal, and am generally not in his cross hairs, but I remain nervous of any executive taking liberties like this. His justice department is trying to conduct warrantless searches of homes, which should give all of us chills. Trump DOJ Ordered ICE to Invade Homes Without Search Warrant

I imagine all members of this board if faced with a warrant less home invasion would resort to their god given 2A rights, right?

It'll be National Guard troops on T32 status, since there's a debated section currently within the Posse Comitatus Act that may allow it.

Seeing as how NG budgets just got slashed so badly drills/annual training events may be canceled in some states, their will be many JFHQs searching for those mission funds if available.

@Cookie_ @TLDR20 we have learned nothing, it seems. I’m gonna bookmark these posts for when I need a break from the serious stuff.

Just go re-read the last 40 times I’ve clearly layed out how Trump and his admin communicates, in order to draw a ridiculous, breathless rage-post reaction from the left on an 80/20 issue just so he can mock those people relentlessly, costing them their intellectual credibility. You’re saying the Trump administration, not in theory but in practice, is setting up the deportation of American citizens- and that’s why you’re dystopian in your protected (‘cause white’), liberal, upper middle class enclave on the east coast? Is that your actual position? I paraphrased your words but I don’t want to assume.

@TLDR20 to your last sentence- yes. Exactly correct. Stack up or shut the fuck up. I only speak for myself- not sure what you’re getting at.

Trump did.

Now, saying they're "looking into it" isn't necessarily "actively preparing to do it", sure, but I would argue trying to figure out how to send Americans to overseas prisons isn't something we should be support at all.

Well, you can't deport a citizen whose born here...but theoretically you can deport someone who is naturalized, but you would have to go through the process of revoking said citizenship.

Trump did.

I am going to call this "The Deporting American Citizens Hoax", and throw it in the pile. You can "argue" whatever you want, you're not "arguing". You couldn't even make a clean claim on the issue- you had to walk it back and say that maybe he doesn't actually mean what he said or that maybe it wasn't a thing but still we should be worried about it. Know what else I saw and didn't need to get my panties in a bunch about? Trump's picture of him as the pope. Know why? It's Trump, and I am not a frightened retard.

@TLDR20 you're not off the hook even though your boy fushed to defend your honor. What's your position here? You're saying this is a real thing? Wanna bet on it?

An article written by a law professor with no journalism experience... leans heavily into speculative alarmism, emphasizing hypothetical scenarios like mass denaturalization that are legally implausible. Providing selective focus on fear-driven narratives over balanced policy analysis reads more like a “thought experiment” crafted to resonate with the echo chamber to amplify anxiety.

We should all have a whiteboard to write out the manufactured crisis moments that we either got worked up on or didn't so that we can reflect afterwards.

It has already happened

ICE has deported several children, who are natural-born US citizens, with their undocumented parents. This was in spite of requests by the parents and their lawyers to keep the kids in the United States. So yeah, not a hoax.

ICE deported several illegal aliens who were in violation of USC8 Sec 1324 and those parents decided to take their naturalized children with them. Go check the link @Topkick already posted, all of them are listed. Appeal to emotion using kids to further your apparent bias, -1.

Hoax is still live.

I just preemptively know the counterarguement would be "Trump's a troll" and was addressing it upfront. There's a common post used, helpfully seen in this J.K Rowling.

None of us are unique snowflakes. We all are on various sides of this line of thinking, depending on the topic.

You'll accuse us of moving goal posts on topic xyz, then you'll move goalposts to defend ABC. That's not an indictment of anyone's character on here; we all have different levels of acceptance and focus for different things.

I'm not a "frightened retard" about this anymore than I would call anyone talking about the numerous gun law in the 2A threads a "frightened retard". I'm concerned because of what's being said/directed, but if it is "just a Hoax" or Trump "being a troll" then I'll be happy to eat crow about being concerned over what became nothing.

You will, if history has proven anything. If you internalized anything in my post as talking directly to you, that one's on you.

We have done this a million times. Every single time, it turns out it wasn't a "Maryland man", it was an MS13 gang member. It's not deporting children cancer patients, it's the mother taking them with them. It's not "there are very fine people on both sides", the list goes on ad nauseum.

I'll skip the outrage, let me know when the legislation gets passed and this isn't very obviously fear mongering meant to trigger frightened retards into Blue-Anon breathless doomposting.

Not exactly deported though.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin denied the children were “deported.”

“We didn’t and don’t deport children,” she said in an email to The Post. “Their mothers chose to take them with them.”

Not gonna lie, but if you are the parent of a child and they're residing with the illegal parent for whatever reason, you should probably remove them from the custody of the other parent given the actual enforcement of the law right now. It hasn't been like this since Clinton was POTUS. Bush II was soft on illegals.

The issue with all of these becomes "what do you do with the children?" Parents either choose to retain custody and take the children with them or transfer them to the state or a family member who is either a lawful resident or citizen.

But that's why these Children are called anchor babies, they provide an anchor for the individual to achieve permanent residency or citizenship. There is a pathway to permanent residency for the parents of citizens.
