The Trump Presidency 2.0

Thinking about all those BDE change of command/Division dog and pony shows I had to sit through as a joe....sitting there while some Col. or Gen. sat there and talked, and talked....Now, watching Trump drone on and on in front of all the military flag officers : )

Poetic justice.

If only they understand and appreciate the irony.

I do wish he'd produce a list of people, ask them to stand up when called, and then tell them they are fired. Make the who and why known to all.

I didn't see near all of it - or even most of it - just a few meme worthy lines from SECWAR. I can't help but "hope" that there is a "classified" version of that discussion going on right this moment that affords the SECWAR with the opportunity to put out the "real" content that warranted this dumpster fire.

Otherwise, I'm going to need an Imodium AD once the memes wear off

I have to ask, what would a Staff Sergeant or O3 have learned if they'd watched the entire event ??

I remember Basic (1986), Drills could still lay hands on you...just part of the process. I got no problem with it, I never saw it done in a bad way, always a structured response.

My pops was a drill at Ft. Dix (I was born there in 76), pretty sure he was on the trail in early 70s.

He spoke on getting tossed around a few times but when he tossed someone, he got the stand down order.

Now, I recall basic at Leonard Wood in 93, we got hands on a few times, nothing crazy but it happened. Nothing like Full Metal Jacket. Lol

A couple pokes in the face, light shove. or yanking somebody out of a bunk. Thats as hands on as we got in '03.

Got poked in the face for swearing out loud in the low crawl pit. NBD
