Imagine back to when you were a high school senior and took the field for homecoming. Day 2 of the government shut down. My suburban streets are littered with children and the elderly. The newly formed "Sanitation Department", a federal agency with arrest powers, had to buy more trucks for the carnage.

Without PBS and NPR during this emergency, I've been lost. I have no reserve supplies... I fear this is the end.

The site I support had most of the civilians furloughed but the contractors remained. Cool except their work has to be signed off by the government folks who are at home. In about a week or two the contractors are going to sit there with nothing to do, but still drawing a paycheck.
