I get it and support the concept. I genuinely do.

Where I can find fault is watching folks like Bondi and Patel who clearly need to go but they are kept around. You can stack the deck with your people, but you can't be afraid to move on if they don't perform. Put another way, successful military units and businesses aren't afraid to fire underperformers or people not meeting certain standards. I think quite a few of us take issue not with the hires, but the lack of firing when it is apparent that person isn't getting the job done.

The Army has failed to fire unsuccessful leaders all the time. We saw in the last administration that there was no need to fire anyone, they performed so poorly, or maybe that was by design. Democrats seem intent on destroying our country. So when Trump does replace someone it's because he's got at least half a brain and is not pleased with the current person's performance.

But when he names a replacement, we just start tearing them down instead of being in lockstep, we have no unity within the movement let alone the party. Which means we'll likely get at least 4 years of Kamala or Newsom.

I do generally hate the President, but I love what he is doing with militaristic foreign policy. He has almost completely neutered China without doing anything to actually hit them. As everyone says the Chinese plan in centuries, and this presidency is like “The Mule” in the foundation series, completely destroying their plans.

His domestic polices are mostly sloppy, egotistical and I don’t think in the best interests of most Americans, but he is whopping the Chinese by hitting them where it really hurts.

It's super easy to lump everything into "This admin sucks"... but the very real impact on China is the single (in my mind) completely irrefutable win that this admin gets.

For all the other missteps, the solidification (Greenland, down to the cartels, down to Venezuela) of the western hemisphere to deny Chinese influence, coupled with the economic impacts to China (tariffs, Strait of Hormuz, Iran), is a masterclass.

When you zoom out and just try to be as objective as possible, it's pretty wild. Tangentally associated... Rubio is leading in "who should be the next president" talks amongst GOP insiders and donors. JD Vance is second.
