The Trump Presidency 2.0

She was definitely not expecting that on her bingo card at the WH. I see no harm at the whimsical brevity. That war was the past, we're now allies. Move the F on, or shall we remind the Left that their hero during WW2 did a crime against Japanese Americans and locked them up in actual concentration camps and without due process? Oh the irony.

The Japanese treated our soldiers horribly. My great uncle sank on a death ship. Its disgusting to think about, but all those people are gone and I don't hold today's Japanese people accountable.
And the Germans murdered the F out of my mother's family and she was a Holocaust survivor herself. I had never forgave but I cannot still put blame on the descendant's decedents of who were associated by blood only. Remember it, but don't stare at the past.

I wrote a paper in college on this. And people on the X were wondering why Sushi wasn't ubiquitous until the 2010s...well, Franklin Delano Roosevelt seized the property of tens of thousands of Americans based on their skin color and put them in camps.

despite no evidence their family was involved at all.....

That becomes a sticky subject real quick, but over 90% of today's Black population (I've seen as high as 97% estimates) descend from slaves. They also have almost no chance of proving that slave status due to record keeping related to slavery.

I'm sympathetic to the genealogy aspect, but reparations? Hell no, I reject that one wholeheartedly.

And yet certain populations want reparations on things that happened 200-300 years ago despite no evidence their family was involved at all.....

But what if:

The aliens that are NOT living at Area-51 are descended from OTHER aliens that came here a few hundred years ago - made deals with Epstein's descendants - interbred with humans - engaged in what would have been (at the time) LEGAL human trafficking - then intermarried with Japanese immigrants that were then put into concentration camps established by the Democrat POTUS - and because of the mountain of NDAs that got signed to keep all of these connections hidden - were only able to start selling Sushi in the USA as recently as 2010 - and now the descendants of THOSE folks are the ones actually seeking reparations...

I might be on to something.
If so - this changes EVERYTHING

Very few people actually owned slaves, but that part of the story never gets told.

Ok - I'll bite - what is the Sushi angle here ?

If FDR didn't intern 150,000 Japanese it might have been common enough in the American life that they would have made this movie about Sushi instead of Chinese food. With Six You Get Eggroll - Wikipedia

But really, someone on the X the other day was like "why wasn't Sushi common before 2010". Well my friend, let's go down this dark path of racism that occurred during the great WWII. The Civil Liberties Act of 1988 provided reparations to survivors of internment camps, a check of $20,000 each. Fairly certain that's a decent chunk of change in 1988 but not enough to get your life back if you owned a home in the good part of town and a business. Because that check was 40 years late. Maybe it was helpful to those born in the camps.

That's the other side of the reparation argument that people ignore: slavery was a private and not government action. All those things that happened in WW2 were government sanctioned.
The narrative has been pushed, generally, that all white people are responsible for slavery when in reality very few were for slavery and couldn't afford slaves anyway.

Way too many Nigerians and Somalis in this country for it to be 97% unless we're talking about descending from slaves in Africa...
