Just a very sad reminder that no matter how amazing a person's life may appear, sometimes the demons win.

Defense Department sources told CBS News the death was "an apparent suicide."

US Fifth Fleet commander found dead in Bahrain

Vice Adm. Scott Stearney, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the U.S. Fifth Fleet, was found dead Saturday in his residence in Bahrain, U.S. military officials said.

No foul play is suspected, but the cause of death remained under investigation, Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson said.

Well, RIP to the Admiral.

The story seems to be inferring that his statements about Iran may be connected with his suicide and I find that pretty far-fetched. The man most likely had some personal issues. Condolences to his family and co-workers.
