I was so focused on getting a good GIF that I forgot to proofread my post. Definitely meant to put "some" lol.

I saw it on r/worldnews first and it was maybe 50/50 people defending it vs calling it out.

I should probably log in to my troll account on DU and create another troll post. Last time I had done it was like maybe six or seven years ago. I posted saying a rape is only 30 seconds but shooting them before they can do it is a life forever gone!!

That one made them eat each other so hard afterwards taking sides. I probably can think of another gem to use about Hunter.

I heard on NPR--yes, NPR!!--that a lot of democrats disagree with the decision because a) Biden already said he would not do it, which further erodes his credibility, b) if negatively affects his legacy (which is does), and c) it removes any argument for Biden/democrats to claim any moral high ground when/if Trump pardons fill-in-the-blank.

Also of note, if the house/senate continue to investigate the crimes, which they can, a pardon strips him of his 5th amendment rights, which means he spills the beans, lies (and because of the pardon all the investigations can come out) and is charged with perjury, or doesn't show up, which is criminal contempt.

I'm really wondering why Biden didn't issue a commutation instead of a pardon. Even in his statement he acknowledged Hunter broke the law; his main complaint was the "unfair penalties" Hunter got.

Didn't even think of the 5th Ammendment aspect.

People are literally asking who is running the country, and have been for weeks, well like I've said many times in this thread.

And this (the Hunter pardon story), @Ooh-Rah , is why IDGAF about some mean tweets.

Joe pardoned Hunter for a 10-year period (2014-2024) that encompasses all the crimes we found on the Hunter laptop (which they told us wasn't true) and effectively protects Joe from being prosecuted for any number of high crimes and misdemeanors found on the computer. The Ukraine money laundering/Biden connection is so easily verified it's a joke.

Hunter didn't get pardoned just for his gun crimes. *He got pardoned for all wrongdoing in a decade*. "... all offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from 1 January 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted." That's why he didn't just commute the gun charges, @Cookie_

They impeached Trump over a call to Ukraine demanding Zelensky to look into crimes committed by the Biden family, verified on the laptop, and now confirmed by this pardon after they lied to us for years ("I won't pardon Hunter."). 51 intelligence officials lied. The MSM lied. They raided Mar A Lago. All the lawfare cases- nonsense. We (CIA with Biden running point as VP) installed the Ukranian government in 2014. Hunter. Burisma. All of it was true.
 
Aren't pardons (at least here in the US) usually for specific acts or convictions? How often are they THIS broad? "Here's a decade, go scot-free, don't worry about anything we know you did or suspect you did. In fact, don't worry about any crime you committed in that decade. You good."

Hunter could be outed as a serial killer tomorrow and he walks. Dude could run a concentration camp....and he walks. A video of him molesting children? He walks. That's insane.

Start by skipping our Southern Left coast, move East until you start moving South out of Northern Ontario. Maybe keep the Territories in the North. Give me a heads up, so I can move.

Presidential pardons are only for federal crimes….it does not cover state crimes, which your examples are state crimes.
