Six and a half years? I can believe it. RCP for an E-9 is what, 32 years? Not checking my math here but Just Cause, GW1, Gothic Serpent, OEF, OIF, and the stuff afterwards in Syria and Iraq does add up.
I'm counting nine service stripes on his left sleeve, so that indicates 27-30 years of service so far. Close to a quarter of that downrange. Wow.
Didn't leave to run for senate?
I looked up his bio. He joined in Oct. '91 and his first deployment was to Somalia.
