I seriously think we have bigger problems. Between mentally ill individuals swapping genders in leadership roles, corrupt leadership at the highest echelons, and the systemic destruction of cultural norms... yeah. The Army didn't make this decision in a vacuum, a chain of events led to this. Other branches are sharing similar circumstances.

I think I'd be OK with this one though if it were a real thing, unlike a lot of things I've been given awards for over the years, an honorable discharge is actually a worthy achievement. Plus it's something else to give a retiree / ETS-er at their "see you later" event.
IMHO, the Good Conduct Medal fills that bill...
You can get good conduct medals over the course of your career and not receive an honorable discharge at the end.
