Adult Beverage Mega Thread: Scotch/Whiskey/Rum/Vodka/Etc

Thanks. I may take you up on that but let me check into how heavy handed customs is. I know they trying to stop any and all vehicles at the border. Even though they don't have the manpower. But that doesn't mean they aren't going through the mail.

I have a really good local small batch place nearby.
Well, if you figure it out or the thirst just becomes too strong, let me know what flavor you need.

So, the last two Christmases I've been given gift cards by my employer, and for whatever reason, I have neglected to use them...until today. From left to right we have Blanton's, Snake eater Bourbon from Leatherwood Distillery (thought we'd give it a try), Bronze and Silver Horse Soldiers (because we like it), Old Forester 1920 (because Dame really likes it) and Two Bitch Bourbon, which is a Nevada product...we'll see how Snake Eater and Two Bitch go and perhaps post a review...KIMG0025.JPG

Well, that should get you through the weekend at least. 😁

Copy that! The Kentucky River has some BIG names around Frankfurt directly affected...

Just putting it on the line in case someone wanted to stock up at a COVID level of toilet paper!!

:ROFLMAO:

Everything Sazerac owns is allocated here unfortunately...but I'm pretty stocked up.

ETA: Not to diminish what the flooding has done to the rest of Franklin County, likely hundreds of millions in damage to homes.

We finally got Buffalo Trace out here. I found it before at the NATO base but first time at the Exchange. Sounds like it was just in time too. Also sad that I’m excited about BT. Shows the lack of whiskey we get out here.

A few months ago we went to several Scotch distilleries. I’m hoping next spring to play the Old Course and hit up a few more. Scotch, while not my favorite, is becoming more of a favorite given availability and price.

Pro tip: do not drink whiskey the weekend after chemo. My brother-in-law was over last night, I only had 2 fingers, but I feel like ass today.
Holy shit, I have to be more careful as I read…

Quickly glancing glancing through the thread I thought that read, “my brother-in-law had two fingers in my ass today“

Seems a bit excessive...
I’m not even familiar with the first two, but they can F off with that $900/oz bullshit. I’m so G.D. tired of bourbon price gouging; at this point it literally offends me. Had it out with a liquor store owner not long ago because he wanted $60 for a regular bottle of B. Trace and $125 for Blantons.

We barely see allocated stuff up here, and then when they do get it they want twice MSRP or sell you tickets for the chance to purchase it.

Fuck off.

(Yes I have anger issues and triggers regarding this topic)

I dont get into the high end yuppie stuff. I just drink Makers or mix with Jim Beam. But there is no reason for bourbon to be so expensive. It's made in fucking Kentucky, USA.

Wait. That's in dollars? American? WTAF?
At least in Vegas there's a lap dance involved.
