I was very impressed to read about the cross training amongst trades. It's something that we need to do more up here. It's done unofficially at section or detachment levels amongst individuals that are shown to have the aptitude but officially at trade schools it's hard for maintainers to accept that operators are having to complete more technical tasks and that the gap between being an operator and a maintainer is closing. Especially with modern circuit technology and warranty's provided by manufacturer's.

Yeah,
I loved those comments. Most of the comm troops get out and become Army support Contractors anyway.
