Like I have not a damn clue, but I have those lovely Michelin 80k mile tires on my explorer. Seem to be lovely.

They have to have special tires due to the extra weight and to ensure a more efficient roll. You can put other tires on them but the tire life will be shorter and if it has a more aggressive tread, less efficiency.
