California Banning the sale of Gas Powered Automobiles

I don't mind someone wanting to own an EV. It's their business and not mine after all. But when they try to make it their business to tell me what I should own or trying to regulate and forcing the issue, even punish if we don't bend the knee, is my line in the sand.

I am not getting a better life by being forced or coerced into getting something that I don't want, not need, nor can support.

I'm not ready to drive an EV myself, but sometimes gradual change is more effective. I don't believe climate change will take us out anytime soon, and don't want to be told I don't have a choice. I'm noticing more and more EVs on the road but here in the midwest, you are not going to convince a 60 year old redneck that an electric car is better than his V8 powered F150. It'll take time to change the mindset, if ever.

It's an argument as stupid as 1911 versus Glock or AR15 versus the AK, and needless as the manual versus auto and top loader vs. side loader machines.

As for change, I can be sold on a hybrid. No one forced me to do it, I wanted to see for myself. We had one. It was very efficient. It works. But for all electric with so many flaws from logistics to travel concerns, the narrative for it to be forced on all is a false one using fallacies. If people want me and others to see for ourselves, then I would suggest stop pushing it in our faces or using the government as a weapon to force the issue giving us no other choice but to. It's a grift to achieve their end goals with.

I think hybrids have come a long, long way, part of which is driven by racing as those sports changed. I miss a V10 F1 car, but no one can tell me what engine manufacturers are learning in F1 isn't making it to the street with the current V6 setup. Other series are doing the same thing. Again, that knowledge will make it down to us commoners.

What I think would kill is a hybrid full size pickup. Maybe they are out there, I don't follow the market, but an EV for in the city and a V8 elsewhere? A hybrid diesel? That would be badass.

Now if only pickups didn't cost more than a luxury car...

They showed us at the land Warrior Expo 2005 in Germany, a hybrid Hummer. I was talking to the guys and I was asked to test drive. I was sold afterwards. So many pro arguments for it.

But the mechanics were the opposite in reactions. They took one look at the wiring harness, died a whole lot with some losing color in their faces, and started to question their MOS choices if this was going to be a reality, lol.

The new RAMCHARGER due out next year, is the only hybrid 1/2 ton that will be on the market. I'm interested but it'll cost more than a new HD truck.

Toyota is going all in on Hybrids.

Do you get the same performance as an ICE car?
Perhaps better. The RAM is all electric drive, small battery pack with a V6 engine acting as a generator. You'll get better range, instant torque from the electric motors and higher ground clearance, without any standard drive train.

Video of the Jaguar pitch meeting was released earlier today.

Fam, this is sexy. All they had to do was but Sydney Sweeney in a bikini on the hood of a car and it would sell, but the company got infiltrated by DEI LGBTQIA+S that don't know shit about cars.

Lol. Made me think back to the OG Tawny Kitaen, but I'm guessing most dudes don't remember the brand of car in the Whitesnake video.
