There's a joke in there about how much you're actually home.My wife and I have had a sleep number for a decade or so now. I can't picture using any other mattress.
I've been looking at the Adapt Luxe Soft with the adjustable pro base because it has lumbar movement as well. I think it's priced at $6k or so with a 0% interest payment for the life of the loan. Living in a hot climate, the cooler model would be ideal, but as you said, it's outrageously priced. Think it's like $7k for the mattress alone.I’ve currently Got a Tempur-pedic, but it’s 10+ years old in time to replace.
They have a “cooling” model but that is stupid expensive.
Since I have all of the equipment bedding and sleep memory of using a Tempur-pedic king size, I might just go back and replace the mattress and call it a day.
The sleep number group are like the Glock group LOL. Either highly loyal, or I’ll never shoot one!
The negatives I’m seeing on sleep number are a surprising number of documented instances of poor customer service, and at the end of the day, if you have a technical issue with your bed, then you sleep on the couch.
In the summer, Tempur-pedic can you get stupid hot.
All I know now is that I’ve been waking up the past few years with a sore back, the wife had picked out this mattress and it is firm.
I am probably going to switch to a softer mattress.

The sales guy hit me with the, "you spend 1/3 of your life in bed, is your comfort not worth that?Re: @AWP
I thought the same thing and it made me LOL
One of the reasons I’m considering going back to Tempur-pedic, is because I already have all their gear.
I can probably live without buying the adjustable bed frame.
I’m willing to spend “a lot” of money on a mattress, but their pricing on that air cooled bed for a king is significantly more than I can let myself spend.
I got a Leesa from the Marine Corps Association that I won via silent auction. The first year was great. Now it kills my back and am also considering a a sleep number.I have a Queen sized Leesa Legend that was delivered in a box and I absolutely love it. It’s a hybrid spring/soft top.
