I have viewed websites such as specialtactics.com and the official site of the air force along with reading numerous posts on this forum and also interviewing an uncle who has served 26 yrs air force and recently left Ft. Walton for HNL about PJs/CCTs (what I am considering). One thing he mentioned to me upfront was that for a 23 yr-old, SOF can be very difficult for relationships. I am heading back to Fort Walton next summer for a summer ministry program and he recommended I talk to as many PJs I could to get more insight. However I thought this forum would also provide valuable information on the realities of being in a relationship (Given I were to even make it past the pipeline into that elite community). I realize it is obviously very tough but my question is if you had the choice, would you post-pone a relationship till later in the career or not and why? (If there was anything in this thread that is ignorant or not very humble, bring on the constructive criticism and I am hopeful to attain the correct attitude about this entire decision) Thank you
