Covid-19

Maria sprained her left ankle about a month ago, still bothering her.

At PCP for follow up, probably order an MRI.

Walk into office, she had a mask, I made a promise to be nice, I had no face diaper. She wanted me to go into appt with her. She asks for mask for me, they say "we only give masks to pts".

Ok, I won't wear one, if they want me to wear one, fucking give me one. Maria said she would give me hers, so she can get a new one. How the fuck does this make sense? If they cared about pts, they would identify that she is now sharing a used mask with me, what if she had asymptomatic rona and I did not have it?

Fucking nonsense. They are stuck in God damned 2020. I'm sitting here, mask off, starring at them, they look nervous. Just following orders, I'm sure. Lol.

I used to call it twisted logic, but follows NO logic. None. Nada. Zilch.

I had to go to after hours clinic last night because my doctor didn't have space yesterday and I didn't want to wait. It's obviously strep throat. Had to do a rapid test to go into the clinic but they don't ask to see it, negative results. Go into see the doctor, he asks when symptoms onset; I say Sunday. Asks when I tested and said yesterday morning. He then tries to guilt me for not waiting to come in.
"False negatives are likely, even 5 days out and if you are positive; you just infected the next 18 patients..." I told him I have no other symptoms, possible fever overnight, woke up in puddle of sweat. Now, just a sore throat with obvious white pustules. He looks at my throat and goes, "oh, yah that's obviously strep, you have 3 of the 4 symptoms. I'll give you a script. Thanks for an easy case."
How many people are not going to see this guy because he freaked them out with his guilt trip bullshit. I know people that can't even get ahold of their doctors or can't even get on a wait list for one. We wrecked our already fucked healthcare system for bullshit lies.

Won't matter. This capitulation is months late and several dollars short.

The damage to the service members has already been done. Missed schools, promotion opportunities, being treated like some outcast POS by your entire change for years. All for a sincerely held religious or medical decision that we now know is more politically motivated than it is a question of "health and readiness".

Anyone that was already kicked out or left the military to avoid it (because, oh by the way, the above only applies to a vetted exemption- not a straight up refusal)? Have a good one.

ETA UPDATE- Seems like the services are making a path for re-entry for discharged service members. Interested to see what the "gates" will be. No edits to to the above comment, save the bold.

Troops discharged after refusing COVID vaccine can now rejoin

Yet another reason I'm glad I live in GA. Went to the docs the other day, no mask on anyone in the office, NONE, doctors, assistants, admin staff, patients, not a single mask to be seen...well until I left and passed someone in a mask on the way out of the building.

My primary/my pops primary doc has a mask optional in the office. It's a wonder...

Well, I don't know where this thing originated but aren't we all well past the ridiculous story of a bat from the wet market? That doesn't leave a lot more options. Occam's Razor and all...

Early on, it seemed to me that the most likely cause of the outbreak was a lab leak, or something similar. But I don't know a lot about the field of virology, and I deeply dislike the CCP so I knew I was biased. I was willing to consider any number of possibilities, from someone eating a bat head or whatever to a lab leak to a natural outbreak to... who knows.

But what made me really zero in on the lab leak possibility was the absolute bat shit crazy (see what I did there?) reaction to even the mere POSSIBILITY that there could have been a leak. It was like Jussie Smollett 2.0; things weren't adding up and you weren't even allowed to question the original narrative. In both cases, it went something like this:

"Wait a minute, this doesn't quite add up. I mean, should we at least consider the possibility that..."

"SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU RACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Today's "far right conspiracy" is tomorrow's memory hole. Except this one killed something like 7 million people...

To be fair... zoonosis is still a viable theory, but less increasingly likely. The DOE's assessment of lab leak is likely, but low confidence. I can buy their theory, but cannot 100% discount the other.

In MY opinion, lab leak. But that's today. Who knows about tomorrow after more info comes out.

I love you.

It also goes to show how deeply ingrained the chicoms intelligence apparatus was in our media, intel, and political structures. On the bright side, we all personally saw and know who the useful idiots are. The peeps that were giving out handys and blowies to be inclusive to the Chinese must be loving the turn of events.

It never sounded very plausible to me and subsequent studies sealed my viewpoint:

Animal sales from Wuhan wet markets immediately prior to the COVID-19 pandemic - Scientific Reports

The coronavirus didn't really start at that Wuhan 'wet market'

It started with bats, which just sounded like another Ozzy stunt gone bad. It didn't sound right. Then it wasn't bats, it was pangolins. It was all b.s. In the years leading up to the outbreak, no one experienced this kind of issue and these weren't really sold there.

Now, the idea the market served as a super-spreader event? I buy that. It makes sense.

I posted an article on here almost 3 years ago written in the early 2000s about bat-vectored coronavirus in Wuhan. It wasn't like it was a novel theory, coming through a wet market.

That said, none of the "this is how it got out" articles had any information of high degree of confidence, so I'm open to changing my mind when more/better info comes out.

One of the useful idiots employed in the gain of function nonsense would go spelunking to capture bats so she could draw blood and then work on their viruses...

Not only do these people like to eat bats, but they like to do stupid shit along the way...
