My wife gets mad every now and then because one of the areas in which I have a tumor is my liver. I ask her, "what's it going to do to me?" and I continue to drink. Now, I get that she's scared and wants to squeeze every second out of me so I try to be very balanced and empathic in my response.

In full disclosure, it's a bit of a mind fuck for me. I know my outcome but not the hour, and I know with each passing day that gets closer, but I am helpless to do anything about it. My 19 year-old daughter has random bursts of crying because she has such a hard time with it. It kills me.
