Gaming thread

My gaming PC motherboard appears to have shit the bed (it’s either that or power supply but I changed the power supply and nothing changed (it still doesn’t turn on)). So I bought a new MSI laptop. For now though I’m playing through Starfield on Xbox and am kind of bored by it. I’m probably going to jump on the Baulder Gate train soon.

Pay Day 3 was fun last night for a few rounds. Only played the first map but tried guns blazing and stealth. Made more money guns blazing than stealthy.

Starfield seems to be a game you love or "meh", so I'm not surprised with your response. I haven't played it myself. Baldur's Gate is supposed to be really good. Cyberpunk just dropped a DLC, but I haven't played the base game.

I wish Task Force: Admiral would announce a release date. Some of the released footage looks amazing.

I know I've mentioned it about 6mo ago, but I'm finally pulling the trigger next week on a new PC.

I'm going to go with a laptop. A tower is just too much of a pain to move around safely with the wheelchair.

In the past I've used Falcon NW in the past, and I think I've settled on them. The last one I got through them in 2012 is still running without problem aside from needing to swap out the HD for an SSD five years back. They have wonderful stateside support and warranty.

My only concern is that they no longer build them from scratch themselves like they used to do. It's now the Cleavo, but tuned and tested, and painted, by Falcon internally.

I know we have talked about PCs, but any thoughts on the laptop side?

Why did you settle on MSI @BloodStripe ?

Crappy answer - it was the best spec laptop the Navy Exchange had and was an impulse buy. My wife walks off with the $2k laptop all the time and all I can think about each time she grabs it: if she only knew how much I actually spent on it, I’d be in the dog house lol.

I probably should have built a gaming PC but really wanted a laptop.

Starfield is very meh, about to uninstall it…I was looking forward to it...but, nah

Can't they just go back to their day job of lecturing us about politics and the economy?

I honestly don't give a fuck about this. I don't watch the new woke shows or movies and, when I do, I still play old video games. I hope this hits woke actors hard in their pocketbooks, even though the ones lecturing us on social issues and politics are those who are already absurdly wealthy.

SAG-AFTRA reached a tentative deal with the studios and then announced this strike. They are "striking" (I crack me up) while the iron's hot.

I have no problem in general with a strike, but the demands. One thing SAG-AFTRA wanted was a guaranteed number of writers "in the writing room." On the payroll. Paying for people you may not need.

The UAW is in the news with their strike. Fuck it, boys and girls, you helped ruin Detroit, what's this about? HAHAHAHA! One of their demands?

40 hours of pay for a 32 hour work week.

There's a reason other unions hate the UAW and postal workers.

Anywho, gamers being idiots, just to prove they are right:

And the Redditor comments are stupid, but you expect nothing less there.

Gamer1: I was an actual pilot for 25yrs in [pick an aircraft].
Gamer2: That doesn't prove anything about your claims.
Gamer1: Oh yeah? Here is my highly classified material on the matter! You've been owned!

No more bribes, honey pots, etc...just troll military pilots on game forums and they will spill all the secrets!

We kicked a guy out of the 160th for that very thing. I think I posted about it years ago here on the board.
