If you're thinking about purchasing the Narco Road DLC for Ghost Recon Wildlands - stop thinking. Just fucking don't do it.

For some reason they thought it was a good idea to lay on a heavy RedBull action sports theme - uber ghey.

More Ghost Recon real talk:

It gets tedious. It also gets super annoying to say, kill everyone in an encampment, blow the air defenses, steal the helicopter, to later get shot down by the air defenses you literally blew up 20 minutes ago.

Like if I'm laying waste to these outposts and towns, and there are rebels everywhere, why the fuck aren't they helping me out?

Why can't I use the enemy mortars?

Helicopter flying now seems less bad. Helicopters make the missions super easy.

I also don't like that you can't have someone else fly(AI) and you can't purposefully send your team in splits. I should be able to at least split my team into two elements...

It is also pretty wonky in that your teammates are basically invisible to the enemy.

Still the game is fun. Just a bit wonky. I need to check out multiplayer...

Playing my way through Borderlands 2. One of these days in need to upgrade from the 360.

I have about 4 gazillion hours in that game, farming Torque token in Pyro Pete's bar, all for an Unkempt Harold. The Gunzerker and Siren are the best end game classes IMO. Great game though the Prequel in space was kind of underwhelming. The reduced gravity and air packs were a great twist, but the overall game just lacked something.

First time I played borderlands period was as a siren, then I went assasin or whatever that one is. Ganking shizzy.

I'm not dropping that coin on a video card. My personal cost/ benefit analysis decided the performance increase wasn't worth the ducets.

Besides, I think my GPU may be DOA. Still troubleshooting.

Makes sense. I will probably get it for a single card solution to my multicard current config....at some point. Then again, I might just wait a decade to when I fully retire and upgrade then. Not like I get to use my computer much right now.

Have you looked at some of the gaming laptops that have been put out recently? Hardware devs are doing some seriously crazy stuff with them, like SLI 1080s, curved displays with GSync, and detachable keyboards. Granted, the laptops with those features cost almost as much as a used car, but old standbys like Dell are putting out laptops with mobile 1060s for less than a grand.

I'm running an Alienware 17 r3 4K. It's only got a 980 but it keeps up with most games. It also doubles as a space heater. You can find them cheap.

We could probably have a whole thread on the game. I keep getting killed by the fucking helicopters I request. Or they drop them on a cliff I can't get to. Or in an alley where they just blow up.

Yeah, this is making me wish I had waited a couple of months to buy my laptop, so that they could start coming out with GTX 10-series laptops. Unfortunately, I was an idiot and now I'm stuck with a 970M until I can build a desktop (sometime later this year).
