Gaming thread

Started playing PlayerUnkowns battlegrounds. It's like a 100 person Hunger Games/Battle Royale type game, pretty entertaining. Got it off Steam.

This is just what you have in your sleeper cab, right;-):sneaky:8-)?

I use a Gear VR primarily in the truck for some gaming, else it's Fallout Shelter for the most part on the tablet. Quick time killer and a large portion of the game has time sinks, so while I'm driving, I'm still winning.

Need to figure out if I can play Galaxy on Fire with the Gear.

There's only a free version. You can pay for premium and some ships, but you can just run for free and do just fine. I'll do a premium sub for when I'm home, sometimes, and I have some US Premium ships as I have had pocket cash in the past to get that kinda stuff.

Ping me in-game, I'm BTDT. I'll drop tier to run with you, or match the high end of what tiers you can run.

OK, you convinced me, downloading. Do you have discord for voice chat?

I can, but only tonight. Roll out @ 0600 tomorrow for who knows how long on the road. However, ping me same # you have and I'll rig up the laptop and inverter for an hour of rock and roll during my time off on the road. Yay for unlimited verizon wifi!

Can't wait till october when I get my own truck, I'll have much more latitude as between being able to pick my loads and running faster means I'll have more spare time.

I got Ghost Recon Wildlands. I disliked it at first played it semi aimlessly for a day or so. Since then I restarted the campaign with a purpose, and I enjoy the game. I really think it needed a tutorial. Maybe a mini mission or something before the main campaign.

So looooong, evening!

Steam's selling Ghost Recon Wildlands for $47.99 until 1PM EST on May 1st.

ETA: Steam will have a huge (or Yuge if you prefer) sale in July so I won't be surprised if we see this price again in the near future.

If you're thinking about purchasing the Narco Road DLC for Ghost Recon Wildlands - stop thinking. Just fucking don't do it.

For some reason they thought it was a good idea to lay on a heavy RedBull action sports theme - uber ghey.

More Ghost Recon real talk:

It gets tedious. It also gets super annoying to say, kill everyone in an encampment, blow the air defenses, steal the helicopter, to later get shot down by the air defenses you literally blew up 20 minutes ago.

Like if I'm laying waste to these outposts and towns, and there are rebels everywhere, why the fuck aren't they helping me out?

Why can't I use the enemy mortars?

Helicopter flying now seems less bad. Helicopters make the missions super easy.

I also don't like that you can't have someone else fly(AI) and you can't purposefully send your team in splits. I should be able to at least split my team into two elements...

It is also pretty wonky in that your teammates are basically invisible to the enemy.

Still the game is fun. Just a bit wonky. I need to check out multiplayer...
