Hello,
My name is John L., and I'm a 2nd Lt in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am currently waiting to pick up with IOC, but I was wondering if you all had any tips on becoming a stronger hiker. During TBS (Bravo Co.), hiking was my strong point. However, when I started working up for IOC I found my hiking abilities (heavier loads @ 105-150 lbs. with a fast pace movement @3.5 to 4.5 mi/hour) were under-par. I've been hitting legs hard, which have been helping a lot. But, I was wondering if this community had any tips that helped them during heavy movements for 7 + miles under heavy loads. Any work out plans or really anything that helped!
