Simple card wallet. Tan is natural veg tan rubbed with neatsfoot oil, red/black is red horween that I marbled black for patina look (needs work) with hand sewn, edges burnished.

My pop gave me this fluorescent light. It was my grandfather's work shop light.
Picked up a few dollar store bins to improve my "shop". (Blue bins).

Scrap 3/4 oz natural veg tan leather, saddle stitch, hand dyed edges/burnished and oiled with neatsfoot oil/waxed and tan coated.
Just a sleeve for stitching forks.

So, I take tip of leather, skive (shave it down till it's foldable), glue and saddle stitch it.
A few wallets I want to do require skiving and rolled edges. So, I'll practice first.

Simple key chain. 4/5 oz natural veg tan leather, fold over, hand cut, glued, hand saddle stitch (still trying to get good at sewing machine).
Hand dyed with oxblood red dye, edges were hand sanded, burnished, finished with wax and copper rivet.
Not too bad. I'll make more.

Both wife and kid are under the weather so I took the day off to take care of them, our dogs, and our granddaughter.
Had some time to myself so I took advantage of it to drill some holes, countersink said holes, deburred, and chamfered the exit holes for a cheek riser that was not staying put to my AK-V's folding beam section for the stock.
Afterwards the thought occurred to me to see about either making my own, or getting someone to make me a similar cheek riser but not from polymer and instead wood to get that old school blend feel to it.
