Introduction - Rob

Hey all,

My name is Robert, but most people call me Rob (dogs call me "woof!"). I'm a junior at the age of 20 at UAB (Alabama at Birmingham, Go Blazers), and I aspire to earn the title of Officer in one of the branches' SOF or SF.

I am stuck between Army Rangers and USMC MARSOC because I'm still learning about both. Basically, I just want to be a part of the unit that serves the country in most effective capacity. It's not about the money, "which is cooler/harder"; I just want to serve in close combat with my brothers.

Sorry for the long intro, but that's me! Glad to be on this site and look forward to the plethora of knowledge.

You'll find most in the military have an odd sense of humor and can be goofy at times. There are tons of choices out there, so dig deep and make the career choice that suits you and your abilities best. Every MOS is important, and all serve with a purpose, so wherever you wind up, you matter.
