Hi I'm 20, former army infantryman. Enlisted when I was 17 and was discharged earlier this year after my chapter was initiated shortly before the election during the downsizing. My PT test was fudged to make it look like I failed. My first inclination was to fight it and demand every opportunity to make it right but I took a look at my situation and decided to take it as a blessing. Not enough time left on my contract to be recruited for SF without reenlisting, stuck in a unit that never deploys. I had always wanted to be a green beret and I had always wanted to be an officer, so being released with an honorable discharge to go on to college and get my commission was sort of a good deal. I'm currently in ROTC and trying to be an 18 series when I get my commission.
