Is it weird that i wanna Join?

I'm wondering if it's weird that i'm born i Norway and only been to the US once in my life and still wanna Join the US Army, hopefully the 75th Ranger Regitment. I recently became a US Citizen, and I'm thinking about enlisting as soon as i move.
Will People think i joined for the wrong reasons and don't really belong there?
