Israel and Iran

Funny to me that the Israelis haven’t developed that capability or have a problem only the US can solve.

Meh.

Anyway, keep the B-2’s on the ground, we need to sit this one out.
I wonder why Israel would even launch this mission if they knew they didn't have the guns to finish it off. Maybe Trump and co. said, "Go ahead, strike them; we'll back you, wink, wink."

Iran wants us to attack. If they attack us directly it gives the Gulf nations a reason to strike back. If we attack Iran the Gulf nations will sit out this war so long as Iran doesn’t strike our bases in Gulf countries.

Because they thought they had the explicit and tacit support of the United States, which has always been, and the fly in the ointment was Trump's willingness to negotiate and not bend the knee to Israel or Bibi. To your bolded- maybe my grandmother would have been a bicycle if we put two weeks and some handlebars on her, but she isn't- she's dead.

I said it before, but everything Trump is doing- from firing Waltz for colluding with Israel on the TM Signal and his hawkish "Israel First" activities to internal angst with AIPAC and all the rest- is 180 out from the narrative. Every action he's taken has been a step away from Israel. Let them take all the heat, continue to ask for negotiations, keep a leash on the military when every single predecessor would have already dropped MOABS on Tehran and Fordow.

They clearly have a whole lot of support.

They're doing just fine on their own. If anything, their success leads me to believe they are a strong and independent country that don't need no America.

Awesome. Let’s stop giving them American money. Their citizens have free healthcare while we pump up their military with billions in aid.

I agree we should stay out of it. When I was younger I was in the camp of Iran can't have a nuke but now after so many years of this I'm like ehhh if they get one is it a big deal? As long as they don't use it against us. Which I don't think they will. I think we just need to stop saying who can or can't have a nuke.

It's a 30,000 LB bomb.
It need airspeed and altitude to be effective.
Cargo planes can't do it.

Not exactly. We dropped a GBU-43--22000lbs of love--from a now-retired MC-130H in the 'Stan back in 2017. The MOP was developed from the Big BLU program (initially intended to replace the BLU-82, which we were running out of). The GBU-57 is heavier, but we've dropped heavier from Herks. The only real challenge would be the rigging airdop platform . . .and, frankly, that ain't rocket surgery.

The IDF has J-models; those herks out perform legacy herks in every metric (except for those legacy bird that have the NP 2000 mod).

Which is a long way of saying the IDF absolutely could drop one. The "B-2 only" thing is because AFGSC didn't like having C-130s in the bomber mafia operational concerns and budgetary constraints.

My understanding is the 57 uses speed to penetrate, can it get the same speed from a 130, then it can from a B-2?

FWIW-Multiple outlets tracking 6xB-2 headed towards/Guam or Diego Garcia.
UK is saying we can't strike from DG, so Guam will probably be the launch point.
0300 Tehran time on 25 June is still my prediction.

A couple of days ago I was on CBS News to talk about potential options for targeting the Fordow nuclear facility in Iran. This was my first time doing a presentation in a format like this, live in the studio in NYC, and I felt like it showed. Still, I thought it was a great experience, and I now know what to do if I ever get invited back. I didn't post it here earlier because I know it's not my best work. An interview I did over the phone with BBC Radio went much better, but I don't have a link for that.

The CBS staff was great. Total pros. Set me up for success in every way possible. I'm grateful for the invitation, and grateful that West Point allowed me to do the show.

I think we did just hit targets in Iran...trying to find it....

EDIT: https://www.axios.com/2025/06/21/us-strike-iran-nuclear-israel-trump

we did, three targets.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space," Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.

"A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow," he continued, referring to Iran's most fortified uranium enrichment facility.
