My brother-in-law was in Navy ROTC at Georgia Tech, the guy in that chess commercial was his OIC. My BIL said he was nice, he was competent, but he was an idiot lol.

The Marine Corps doesn't make it easy. It's really hard on family. Especially when you are over 20 years of service. If you can believe that.

My dad retired at 20 plus a couple months. He was on the E9 list but it would have been an unaccompanied tour to Okinawa. Legend has it My mother said Master Gunny or me, make your choice, and he did.
