I joined the Army Reserve in Jan 2001. I spent my first 8 years in a horizontal construction engineer unit. I deployed to Iraq with them. On returning I decided I liked being a squad leader better than a construction supervisor. I reclassed to combat engineer and served as a squad leader and unit IED SME. I have spent almost 2 years with a CA unit and have had issues getting to CAQC and was selected for promotion last month in my one of my engineer mos's. I am transfering to be an engineer instructor.
If I recover well from knee surgery I want to attend a NG SF assessment weekend. Alternate plan is 125D WO. Civillian side I will be starting a new jon in the IC.
