My Random TV Thread

My son told me he started watching the Sopranos last week, he knows nothing about the ending other than there's a controversial scene where the screen goes black.

I'm a little jealous that he gets to experience that series for the first time; I made him promise to call me whenever something monumental happens so we could talk about it.

He asked me how will I know what's monumental? I said "trust me, you'll know".

After this series, he plans to do The Wire. #ProudDad

Damn, Rhianna, Tim Kennedy, and Chris Benoit have seen better days. I think those other two are the guy from System of a Down (that's the method @Muppet used to learn how to read) and what looks to be a "hick hop" artist.

Anyway, don't do drugs.

We've been watching it. It's creepy how good they copied the original, down to mannerisms.
Minor complaint is that they have the young Dexter overact some of his more subtle mannerisms (see: the exaggerated smirk as he's walking at the end of the intro), but the casting actually was great and the actor's doing an outstanding job. I know some folks didn't like Christian Slater being cast as his dad, but I think he's doing well, young Batista and Masuka are great (yes, Masuka does the 'thing'), and young Deb is scarily good, from mannerisms to mouth.

Not going into any spoilers for those who aren't watching, but my prediction is that a certain character in a minor authority position is going to catch on to Dexter and he going to have to do something about them.

For those who haven't started watching yet but have already completed Dexter: New Blood, make sure to pay attention to the very first 5-10 minutes of this prequel. (EDIT: The beginning of @RackMaster's trailer will do the job too.)
