My Random TV Thread

Fargo is the best show currently on air, IMO. If you are a huge Coen brothers fan like myself, then the references and allusions to their films throughout the series will be very satisfying. Season 2 does this extremely well- expanding upon the themes from "No Country." And it's so fucking funny. Billy Bob plays one of the best characters on film or TV. He's a villain of the same caliber as Ledger with The Joker and Bardem with Anton Chigurgh.

I love Javier Bardem, if for no other reason than because he's one of the very few that can play a villain well enough to give me the fucking creeps. That takes serious skill, which he apparently is in possession of.

I've started getting into "The Son" on AMC, as of late. About the closest you can get to a decent western, between TV and movies. It's a bit confusing to me, although some good westerns have come out here and there. It seems like holywood or whatever powers that be, are completely ignoring them.

I mean you can only rewatch the same old westerns so many times before you start hating them. My poor John Wayne and Clint Eastwood collections are getting worn out.O_o

Amazon Prime. I haven't had cable in like 6 years. You have to buy the season (normally around $20+/-) but it's a lot cheaper than cable, and a thousand channels of shit you don't want to watch.

I do Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube red. There are a whole bunch more out there, but I tend to come back to those three.
