My Random TV Thread

That show is great. Trippy, mysterious, methodical. Can't say enough good things.

It went full send with the cray-cray this week though it was worth it to see trashy Amy Adams in her undies. I was about to Skype my wife to tell her about our divorce until I snapped out of it.

We're crushing Westworld, into Season Two. Um...what can I say?...Elegant open...great music and fx...Ed Harris is a fucking badass...the women are hot...the storyline's a bit convoluted with all the flashbacks...and sometimes my suspension of disbelief is tested to the red zone...but I like it.

Meh...

I'm 3 episodes in and want to like it but, without trying to be too much of a spoiler, they've added way to much self righteous Hollywood PC bullshit; ie the silly PTSD UAV operator storyline, Greer is a Muslim, etc. GTFOH.

I'm sure I'll continue to watch but I'm probably going to be pissed about it. It's not really Jack Ryan. Tom Clancy would not approve. Neither of those two names should be associated with this series; they carry certain expectations.

On the bright side, Dina Shihabi does have a nice rack.:D Also, it's like no one ever has plate inserts in their fancy looking gear. Oh and there was no allied mortar pit. #ZOMGWTFBBQ

Add on: They also slurred Toby Keith and forgot to play Nickleback during the interrogation sequence.

Dude I just finished last night. Mind effing BLOWN.

What a great series and an even better ending.

"Don't tell momma." The look on her face, the range of emotions, the whisper...that scene was awesome.

No more trashy Amy Adams though...I are sad.

And no NODs and no optics on the weapons during the attack scene.

Overall I liked it; I love those types of shows. Looking forward to seeing Mile 22 today. I love me some SAD...all of the shooting and blowing shit up, none of the regulatory BS....

That was one of many parts of the series where the 10-15 sec ffwd button was employed repeatedly (I ffwd'd through most of the last episode as well). Lol'ed at a "Captain" pulling gate guard. :ROFLMAO:

Granted, we're not Amazon's targeted TV demographic. What we see as asinine, Joe sixpack doesn't. For the hype it was okay, not great, but just okay. Production values and tit shots were great though.

The more I think about the episodes, the less I like it -- and I didn't come out of the first few terribly impressed.
