National Protest and 'disband the cops' discussion (and now ICE)

We’ve spent a lot of time and brain power talking about this event, something we sped past.

“No Kings” was a protest that turned violent. Jan 6 was a protest that turned violent.

What’s happening in Minnesota is decentralized cells of operatives in a hierarchy accessing state and federal database to identify, find, and obstruct federal officials.

They aren’t protesting anything- they’re coordinating to hunt federal agents.

This.

And as I take the time to learn more about what is happening in my state, it’s actually pretty frightening.

Yesterday I was reading something online, (I’m kicking myself for not saving the link) that described the literally textbook coordination being used to track, harass, and prevent ICE from doing their work.

I still believe that the 4th Amendment is being stomped all over, and ICE’s overall behavior and tactics are counterproductive, but to the leadership (or lack of) in Minnesota who are ‘literally’ telling their constituents to resist the Federal presence, what did you think was going to happen?

You’re playing chicken with the wrong President of the United States.

Don't forget all the violent "demonstrators" during the BLM movement....that group of very organized and funded, black clad, backpacks wearing, masks wearing group that was always there to attack law enforcement.

Anyone with any insurgency/counterinsurgency training recognizes it. Hell, I recognize it.

People say they're under-trained. I'm sorry, everyone is under-trained for a semi-permissive environment where you have hostile "civilian" agitators trying to verbally, audibly, and physically intervene with the performance of your duties.

The only way to do this more easily and politely is literally with local LE in a JTF where the locals actually end up functioning as a small check and balance because they won't help if it ain't legal to do so, and they could keep the idiots at a distance so that the entire apprehension process wouldn't be full stupid.

Hell, they could do the initial stop and confirmation that yes this is X, and then the feds take over from there, combined with everyone who's convicted for all the crimes that are immediate deportation check-blocks, get a citizenship lookup referral to ICE at which point they're already arrested, convicted, and in custody disarmed and in arguably the safest place to pick up people aka jail/prison.

But it's fucking sanctuary rules states where they're forcing the feds to have to do everything with zero help, including near zero support for when the public is breaking the law with regards to interference with law enforcement.

Look at all the states that cooperate with and coordinate with federal law enforcement and immigration enforcement. Note how many have issues with immigration enforcement activities. Local cooperation literally makes the job easier, safer, and more cordial (given you're arresting and deporting fuckfaces as a general rule).

I am sincerely fascinated that there are informed citizens living in 2026 America that are JUST NOW STARTING TO SAY THINGS LIKE
"THIS LOOKS LIKE WHAT AN INSURGENCY WOULD LOOK LIKE"

Worst of all ANY -
and I do mean ANY service member that has graduated from the SFQC in the last 60 years that is just now starting to say...
...this looks like an insurgency
...must have been sleeping through a YUGE portion of the SFQC if they are just now noticing that the party of civil war seems to be pushing an insurgency

The party of civil war has been pushing an insurgency since they murdered Abe Lincoln.
...they even said the quiet part out loud when Columbia University Professors published their Cloward-Piven Strategy in the 1960s

"Useful idiots and all that jazz"

State officials interfering with the Federal government is a right of all Americans.
Your faithful servants,
PGT Beauregard and the South Carolina Corps of Cadets
Really don't understand why the VA Dems want to get rid of VMI...like somehow life might go full circle and they'll need a gaggle of fighting age boys and girls that are disciplined and know 18th Century manual of arms (and Patrolling).

Good golly, how'd I miss this thread?

Being a middle aged Caucasian man who doesn't take guns to protests I am largely left alone and disaffected from the vulgarities of an insurgency in a city 1,200 miles away. So it's academic to me.

I'm sure if we could just find a reason to impeach the POTUS...
...AGAIN
...that all of this would fix itself
...in a fiery and fatal but mostly peaceful protest

VCU Health employee terminated after viral videos showed her encouraging the poisoning of ICE agents

The employee in the video was identified on social media as Melinda Cook. VCU Health said in a statement that the videos “appear to have been posted by an individual confirmed to be an employee of our health system.”

In the videos, she encouraged people to carry needle syringes that contain a temporary paralysis drug as a deterrent against ICE agents.

Cook also encouraged people to gather poison ivy, mix it with water and put it into a water gun.

“Aim for faces….hands,” she said in the video

In another video, Cook told women to go on dates with agents and poison their food.

She's a nurse. Wait...

CRNA...Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Pull her license so she never works again. Not fired from that job, end her career.

Concur. How could you trust again when she clearly lacks fundamental ethics and integrity. She's a massive liability.

She worked at Duke a few years ago (I did not know, saw it elsewhere). She did not have longevity with any of her employment which alone triggers some red flags.

I know people who knew/know her. What a dumbass.

I am not surprised. Yours is a small community.

She will lose her license. Almost a guarantee.

Here's what gets me. I, like you, will deliver the best care I can regardless of one's politics. Not getting into HIPAA, I was on a case here on a well know terrorist. I still did my job. Thanks to Butner I have also treated infamous criminals. Same care.

Our profession is going nuts gushing about that Pretti dude being a nurse (even though he was fired from the VA), but have been largely silent about this chick and some others who have called for anything from death to serious harm against republicans/conservatives. Today one of our leadership sent out a very neutral email that basically said 'we're here for you' regarding processing Pretti, but didn't say anything about 'there is no place in our profession to call for harm or violence against those with whom we disagree.' We had a CT doc say on Twitter he wouldn't treat MAGA and I when I sent the chair an email, the reply was "he's entitled to his opinion."
