I have been following that. He makes the 6th RN who has come out publicly with vile trash like that, and most of them have been (rightfully) fired.

If I said on social media, "I am so vehemently pro-life any preggo chick who come in asking for an abortion should be denied access to healthcare because she wants to kill her kid", I would be absolutely and rightfully fired, as I should be.

  • Saved federal funding
  • Better optics (muh fascism disappears)
  • Forces terrible optics for the people running states/cities ("let it get bad enough")

I think this is the biggest factor. Trump seems to have been pretty much fine just letting Stephen Miller guide most of the immigration stuff. Miller is willing to be extremely aggressive, but, I wouldn't be suprised if Trump thinks the current discourse around the agressiveness might be to strong going into an election year.

IF it changes, I bet it goes back to this level by winter.
