National Protest and 'disband the cops' discussion (please review page 1)

Just remember people, the left and puppeteers behind Biden/Harris tried to deify the following people. One of them even has a life size bronze statue. I also remember when this thread was named after one of the perps below and "people" were trying to downplay the insanity of the situation. 8-)

The cultural roots behind this movement and the people who prosecuted Penny are one in the same.

Not sure if it's still there, but earlier in the thread I posted about how people wardrived the BLM protestors. What was found were ties to local liberal politicians, liberal activists, and protestors, with chunks of meta data disappearing around the people pulling the strings.

Shoutout to @Florida173 who posted the previously deleted twitter link.

Agree. A Juror must of had a change of heart over the weekend.
We know at least one Juror wanted a guilty verdict on manslaughter, so the not guilty verdict was a surprise to me.

As you well know, I think what trips up people, at least here in FL which is why Casey Anthony walked, is they have to justify their Guilty vote by citing evidence presented in the trial. There was another famous case outside of FL where the same thing happened: jurors believed the accused to be guilty, but that "reasonable doubt" thing happened and they couldn't conclusively justify a guilty vote. I wish I could remember the case, there were 4 or 5 holdouts.

I don't know if that's in every state and how much leeway is given to the jurors.

I once told a couple of Liberal friends of mine that I supported BLM because it was great to see Black people stealing from the Black community instead of White people doing the same as they have for years.

Then I pointed out how back in 2020 the donations link on the BLM home page took you to a generic Democratic party PAC, not a non-profit, Black community-oriented group.

Their heads exploded, one no longer speaks to me. So sad...

Then the news broke about the founders and their mansions paid for by skimming donation money (the party link above was 2020, I'm sure something changed.) Now the best they can do is stutter something about George Floyd and I give a shit about that.

BLM is a scam. Nothing more.

They got booted out of the Courtroom for being disruptive.
The residents of Uvalde have become professional victims.

Maybe so but if I were a parent, I'd be absolutely tourqed at the trash they call cops/courts. I'm not saying the parents are totally correct but I suppose, grief and anger will do that?

She wanted tickets done to generate income for the city. He told her no, she went bigly mad.

Sometimes it's not the cops wanting that income generated, it's WHOM you voted FOR that's the issue.

It's rarely the cops that get the income...I can only speak for two departments I have worked for. The income generated from citations, and this includes citations written by code enforcement, went into a city account...not the PD's.

A number of towns here in FL are essentially funded by the local PD's tickets. In turn, that drives funding for the PD, so if the mayor and council are losing money, the PD loses an officer or two.

To be honest, the Jersey, York, Conn, and Mass trash deserve it for the way they intentionally drive. The 95 in Florida is where all the assholes from the north come to collide.

My state is similar to @Kraut783 's AO. The portion of the fine from a traffic ticket that is designated for the municipality that wrote it goes into the general fund. And believe me, it's a small fraction of the fine.

One of the things I really liked about policing in PA is that ticket quotas are straight up illegal. You could go your whole career and never write a mover, and there wasn't anything anyone could do about it. You could stop 500 speeders and give them all warnings unless you were on a special detail like 'click it or ticket'.

Mabton has less than 2000 people. How do they even have a police department? (of two). Trying to understand how they have a city council of 6?

We had a couple of red light cameras in Tucson before we voted them out. The private company that installed them was taking 2/3 of the ticket price.

Just to add, ticket quotas are illegal in Texas, which is a good thing...keeps any kind of speed traps of the old days from happening. You will rarely find patrol officers writing a lot of tickets, traffic stops...yes, a ton...but not many tickets. Now our traffic units write a bunch of tickets....they are given areas to work based on either accidents, or public complaints....so very targeted areas.

We use to have traffic cameras....mainly at locations that had the most T-bone accidents that caused serious injury to fatal accidents. We ended up getting rid of them, but at the time there were effective. But, because an officer didn't see the violation or write the ticket...they were only civil citations, not criminal.
