I get the point, Doc. Just saying a little creative engineering can keep a good aircraft operational for half a century or more. B-52s are still in service in two bomb wings.

The way they did it was super freaking sneaky too. They simply red-lined the maintenance and upkeep portions of the budget for the MDS.
