I read somewhere one USSF soldier referring to the PVS-21 as "stupid heavy". He says if they get issued with it that they leave it in the arms room and just use the older NVG models.

Shame. The thing seems to provide a lot of good stuff to the soldier (according to the write-ups anyway).

If our guys weren't using it they wouldn't have the mount on their helmets. The PVS-18 takes a whole different bracket to lock on.

Ive not heard or seen US soldiers using PVS21st.. only seen on the UKSF types
