In regards to Shawn Ryan:

He's a sober, Evangelical* version of Joe Rogan. Both are decent conversationalists but bad interviewers. They both lack the ability to actually push back on a guest with whom they disagree. Rogan asks a few questions and says "wow", Ryan does the same and says "no shit".

I think Ryan is decent when he has military/LEO/FEDs on. He loses me when he has on weirdos like the chick who said non-verbal autistics have psychic powers. He's totally unequipped to conduct a confrontational interview with someone like Newsom or Biden.

*I don't know if Shawn identifies as Evangelical, but his (relatively recent) actions remind me of that.
I'm sure he has stated he is catholic? or was.

One typically does not "redact" a public invitation. One may, however, "retract" it. And I think that's what Sean Ryan meant. But that’s not what he said.

Redact: "the process of removing sensitive information from a document so that it may be distributed to a broader audience"

Retract: to draw back or withdraw

Pedantic: "someone overly concerned with minor details, rules, or showing off academic knowledge in a tiresome, nit-picking way, often making things boring or missing the bigger picture" (see also Marauder06)

Crenshaw will not sign the "I wont sue clause" I think.
Jack Murphy wanted Chuck Ritter to sign a similar agreement before going on Jack's show to talk about how Jack wrongfully maligned Chuck, a Special Forces sergeant major who is a Purple Heart and Silver Star recipient.

Chuck wouldn't do it either.

I was confused. People are trying to say Ryan is now Sober, has he redacted all of his drinking in previous shows?

A current site member talking to a former site member about Afghanistan, Iraq, and more:
Podcast: The Spear – Ranger Missions in Iraq and Afghanistan - Modern War Institute

In this episode of The Spear, host Dr. Charlie Faint sits down with author, journalist, and former US Army Ranger Marty Skovlund to discuss his journey from a rural upbringing in South Dakota to the front lines of the War on Terror and ultimately into a career as a storyteller, author, and professional journalist. Skovlund reflects on the influences that led him to join the Army, which include family military service, a fascination with military history, and the events of 9/11, and how those motivations carried him into the 75th Ranger Regiment.
