Poser Busting

I could have sworn we had a stolen valor thread all it's own? My bad @Ooh-Rah that's why you get paid the big bucks if this needs to move.

Let me introduce you to Rep Cory Mills. Cory Mills is a liar, and a piece of shit.

Here are a couple of articles from The Blaze, along with a brief Instagram post about how he's delinquent on a $ 20,000 monthly rental. That's pretty pricey even when you factor in AIPAC, insider trading, and slobbing big pharma's knob.

This has gone on for a while now. I'm surprised it took this long.

With Congressman Cory Mills facing accusations of stolen valor, Army confirms medals
I looked over some of the info on the website. The award submission form supporting his claim of a BSM has the date whited out. Why? Was it because it was submitted long after he claimed to have it?

Why was the recommender a BG(R) instead of someone on active duty? A little retro-recommendation?

Where's the back of the page, where it would show approved/disapproved/downgrade/upgrade and an orders #?

Weird. Sketchy as hell.

That whole article was a big ol' ball of ambiguity and sketch. Definitely far more questions than answers.

I imagine that I might rate things that I do not have in my rack because S1, but I sure as hell didn't wear anything that couldn't be backed up.

To your bolded... ding ding ding. How does a signature of a guy who retired in 2012 end up on a form dated April of 2021?

Claimed to be a member of JSOC, claimed to be a sniper, none of the stories about his IEDs or actions line up or make any sense, just clicking the link you provide shows he's lying. About everything.

Got hired at Blackwater on a GANG of wild claims that couldn't be verified, then when he started getting called out on it just grabbed his stuff and disappeared one night.

The whole Mufti-marrying thing and the ties to Islamism is just weird, too. No clue what to make of that.

If I can't trust bro-vets Ranger-Special Forces-Contractors, who can I trust? Lol

Everything about that award is halfass. I've written more substantive AAMs.

Does the Army actually value people who have degrees from AMU?

Liberty's nursing program is hella hard, good rep. Don't know much about most of the rest of the school even though 2 nephews went there, both for degrees in accounting.
As long as it's not Harvard Extension School ;)

I have a bunch of college degrees, I'd say about 2/3 of them are from schools most people have never heard of. Time... money... OPTEMPO... lots of things out of people's control.

People do what they can. The legit only reason I don't have an online degree from the University of Phoenix--the factory-est of degree factories--is because they changed the grad requirements and didn't grandfather me in. So I transferred my credits to Webster University, which I had never heard of before, and got my first master's from them.

Yeah, no judgement. I have two degrees from one of NC's "easiest" (so is the rumor) schools. But also two from a couple legit schools.

The BG stated:

"Cory was one of my (non-commissioned officers) and I awarded all my squad leaders and above the Bronze Star," Bray wrote in a text message recently. "To be clear. Without exception, my soldiers and especially my NCOs were doing things (whereby) uncommon was common."

Sounds like a BSM without V device as a deployment award. Was he claiming BSM with V....and what about his CMB? legit?
