Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

Read Armor and also Forever War. I think Starship Troopers is more the the fore in my memory then Forever War. I really can't remember the main plot for Armor.

The plot of Armor is kinda wonky, it goes from a very grim, very dark, awful war story to a kinda silly space opera type thing for a while, then back and forth between the two. I greatly enjoyed it though. @Viper1 also recommended it I believe.

I think Marvel is in the middle of announcing the new Avengers line up. It's super long still of actors chairs. So far, Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huertas Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Lui, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn

Thor, Sue Storm, Captain America, Bucky, Shuri (new Black Panther), Ant-Man, U.S. Agent, Namor, The Thing, Shang-Chi, Yelena, Beast, Sentry, The Falcon, Johnny Storm

Edited to add new names.

I couldn't be more unexcited at an announcement.

Marvel and the Avengers movies were great up to Endgame. The series should've been done at that point; they could've even ended it at Infinity War. Time to move on. Come up with something new.

Disney is now running the MCU franchise into the ground...correction, they've already done that, now they're just rubbing it in the dirt.

If Vanessa Kirby sits on a stool and reads the inserts from boxes of medications for 2 hours I'd pay double. I don't care how good or bad the movie actually is.

I DO agree at how awful the current MCU movies are.

Concur. I imagine she smells like lavender and hope.

Saw "A Working Man". It was fine -- a typical Jason Statham movie -- worth seeing if for no other reason than to keep Hollywood making action films. There were loose ends, etc, but you don't see these kinds of movies expecting greatness. Nonetheless, if you're looking to kill a couple hours in a theater, it's probably worth it.
